I'd Love To Indulge!

I am a huge fan of fragrances. I also love the brand Cake Beauty, which makes some pretty incredible body products. So, of course, I had to have their Indulge fragrance. I’d had it in mind as a purchase for quite a while, but never seemed to actually add it to my cart because of the price. I’m never sure about purchasing fragrances online if they cost more than $10 or so, since I can’t smell them beforehand. When my fiancĂ© offered to order me some stuff from this sex shop we trust, I decided I’d finally give Cake Beauty’s Indulge fragrance a try.
Indulge comes packaged in a pale pink box. The front has “indulge” written on it in white font bordered with shiny silver. Beneath that is the brand’s logo. The box states that the fragrance bottle contains 50 ml or 1.7 fluid ounces of perfume. On the bottom, the box says this product is made in Canada. The perfume is paraben-free. The box would be great for a gift, since it’s simple and cute. I would have liked to see some information on the notes on the back of the box. Additionally, my box arrived somewhat damaged and it doesn’t look very appealing to be giving as a gift.
The packaging says nothing about this coming from an adult store. Looking it up, I actually found a few stores that are typically found in malls carried the fragrance at one point.
Ingredients:
Alcohol Denat, Fragrance, Water.
Inside the box is a frosted glass bottle with a metal cap. The front of the bottle also states the fragrance’s name and the manufacturer. Aside from that, there’s no information on the bottle. Underneath the silver metal cap is the silver metal spray top. I had to pump my top a few times before the fragrance started coming out.
According to Cake Beauty’s web site, the notes for the fragrance are:
Top notes:  citrus sparkle, fresh and juicy orchard fruits, caramel syrup, island sugar cane and star anise
Mid notes:  heart of rich florals of jasmine, rose, lily of the valley and water lily
Base notes: warm vanilla met with sweet powdery notes
When I first spray this fragrance on, it smells like sweet brown sugar with a hint of a floral scent. I don’t really smell the citrus or fruit scents. After a while, it just turns into a yummy warm vanilla and toasted coconut scent with a hint of powdery freshness. Despite the fact that, to me at least, the fragrance doesn’t smell much like what Cake Beauty says it will I still really like the fragrance. It’s so warm and yummy. I don’t find it to be a particularly sexy scent, but it is something that matches my personality.
One spritz is enough for me to go out in. I am able to smell the fragrance all day at work and up until I go to bed. When I wake up, I don’t smell it anymore. One spritz does not leave my skin wet. The fragrance absorbs very quickly. While I personally can smell it all day, people who are more than 3 feet away from me cannot smell it. The fragrance is not overpowering at all.
Some fragrances have pheromones in them to attract others to you. This particular fragrance does not contain pheromones.
If you feel a need to remove the fragrance, some soap and warm water will remove it. You may need to change clothing, though. I noticed even though I put my shirt on a while after spraying this on, my shirt still had a strong scent on it even after I removed it.
I think this fragrance is a great choice for a gift. I was a bit worried about the high price at first, but this fragrance is really yummy smelling. The packaging (except for mine) is good for a gift. The bottle is cute looking. I do think that Cake Beauty could have described the fragrance on the packaging so I didn’t have to hunt down that information online.
If you like warm, sweet fragrances, I definitely recommend this fragrance. It’s strong but not overpowering. Smelling this fragrance is definitely a mood lifter for me, even when I’m all stressed out at work. I don’t think the price is too high, considering the quality of the perfume versus lower priced perfumes. Some perfumes I have bought for around $30 don’t last nearly as long as this one.
I give Cake Beauty’s Indulge fragrance 5 out of 5 stars.
