Don't Smell It in the Bottle!

Sex toys - EdenFantasys adult toys store

When I first saw the pheromone perfume Simply Sexy by Classic Erotica for sale on EdenFantasys, I decided I wanted to give it a try. I'm in the middle of reading the book Crazy Little Thing and am finding the science behind love and sex pretty intriguing. Simply Sexy is supposed to work with your body's natural scent and chemicals to create a unique scent that can attract partners. The low price really didn't hold me back from ordering it as soon as I had some spare cash.

Simply Sexy comes in a small glass perfume bottle with a silver plastic cap over a silver plastic spray top. The bottle contains .5 ounces of perfume, which seems about average with my smaller glass perfume bottles. Pure Instinct, which is another pheromone perfume, also comes in a .5 ounce bottle. Attached to the bottle is a paper hang-tag that has very little information on it. It states that Simply Sexy will work with your body to create a unique fragrance. This is marketed for women and the label says every woman will have her own sexy scent. The back of this tag lists the ingredients. It also says this is meant for use by adults only and to keep it out of reach of children. This product is made in the USA and is not tested on animals.

Alcohol Denat (SD Alcohol 39-C), Fragrance (Parfum), Water, Copulandrone, Copuline-alike, Reconstituted Andronone.

From this list, the last three ingredients are synthetic pheromones. These are the ingredients that work along with your natural body chemicals not only to create a fragrance all your own, they also attract partners to you by stimulating your brain. Pheromones tend to have different effects on people, depending on the ingredient used in the product. Just because one pheromone effects or does not affect you does not mean that you will get the same results from them all. I personally very rarely notice any effects from pheromones and only have noticed any results from a couple of products.

You can read a bit more about how pheromones work in this article.

EdenFantasys lists the following for Simply Sexy's notes:

  • Top Notes - exotic citrus
  • Mid Notes - spicy florals
  • Dry Notes - warm, sexy & earthy
Notes pretty much tell you what this is going to smell like at different points after application. The top notes are the fragrances you are going to smell immediately after spraying this on. Top notes last only as long as it takes for the perfume to begin to evaporate on your skin. Mid notes begin to pick up as the top notes fade. These are often referred to as the "heart" of the perfume and mask the unpleasantness of dry notes until they become a more pleasing scent. About 30 minutes after applying perfume, you'll begin smelling the dry notes, also known as base notes. These notes are much more rich and deep than the first two.

In the bottle, this stuff absolutely stinks. It smells like rubbing alcohol with a slight hint of a woody scent to it. Thankfully it does not smell like this once it is applied. Application is very simple, just aim and spray. The amount that comes out is absolutely perfect for a perfume. It's just enough to get some scent on you without drenching you. I don't like perfumes that spray out so much that perfume drips down my skin. With this, one quick spritz in a couple of places and it's completely dried within a couple of minutes.

Now I'd like to describe the fragrance when used on both myself and my partner. Again, I'd like to note that your results may vary quite a bit from mine. I don't really have any women around me at any point that I can test this on, just men, so I had to settle for my fiancĂ©.  I figured it should produce some sort of unique scent on him since he's a warm body and he produces his own pheromones. I suppose I could have tested it on my brother as well, but I don't think he would have been willing at all.

When we first applied Simply Sexy, he had more of a citrus scent than I did. I mainly had a floral scent. As time went on, however, my scent developed into a spicy floral with a tiny hint of citrus. I didn't notice any of the dry notes. On him, I could smell a spicy floral scent mixed with some vanilla.

I tried Simply Sexy for a few days throughout a small variety of situations, like going to work, working out and getting all sweaty, and just sitting around at home. I noticed the scent didn't vary all too much for me, though it did smell a bit more woodsy on the day I went to work.

I like the scent Simply Sexy gives me. It's medium, not too strong and not too light. One or two sprays on the body can be smelled maybe 5 feet away at the most. When wearing this, you can definitely smell it on yourself, however it is not so strong that it gives you a headache. Other than my fiancé, I didn't receive any comments or compliments about my perfume. I didn't notice the fragrance lasting much longer than 8 hours. It's at it's strongest when first applied, then it slowly fades away.

As far as the pheromones worked for us, we both were attracted to each other when we had this perfume on. I liked smelling him a lot because he smelled like citrus and I love the scent of oranges and lemons. He said my scent turned him on. The fragrance didn't make us want to rip each other's clothes off, but it did make us want to be around each other and smell each other much more.

Do I feel confident recommending Simply Sexual? Yes I do. This isn't an overpowering perfume, it's just right. The amount that comes out when you spray it on doesn't coat you in moisture either, which I like. As far as the scent goes, I think it is okay, though not my personal favorite. I'm more of a fruity and light floral fragrance person. It's still a nice fragrance, though. I think for the price, you get a pretty good amount of perfume.

I give Simply Sexy pheromone body fragrance 5 out of 5 stars.
