Silky Soft Skin

Usually I don’t bother with any shaving creams or gels, I just use my body wash. However, the Kama Sutra Intimate Caress shave crème really caught my eye and I decided to give it a try. I thought the honeysuckle scent sounded great, so I picked that.

Intimate Caress comes from EF wrapped in a plastic bag so that it won’t leak on other items in your order. The bottle is a pretty sturdy clear plastic with a black plastic pump top. Having a clear bottle is nice, since you can see how much you have left before trying to use it. There’s a little plastic clip that goes under the pump top to hold the pump in place. This is great for travel, since the bottle cannot pump out any crème while the clip is on. The bottle is tall and skinny, measuring 8 inches tall and 6 inches around. I think the bottle is pretty nice looking. It’s simple and somewhat elegant. It should look fine sitting out on a countertop, since it just looks like a lotion bottle. It does say this is a shave crème for women, but anyone can use it. The scent isn’t super feminine. The information provided on the back can be read in English, French, German, and Spanish. It basically just says it is made with aloe vera and jojoba seed oil. Its super moisturizing and leaves skin silky soft.

Water (Aqua), Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Bromide, Colloidal Oatmeal, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Dimethicone, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Steareth-21, Sorbic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance (Parfum)

Many of these ingredients are common in lotions and other bath products. Aloe and colloidal oatmeal will help to soften and soothe skin. Chamomile, avocado, and jobjoba seed oil provide fragrance and condition the skin. Intimate Caress is a hypoallergenic product. I haven’t noticed any issues with my skin, which is sensitive to certain products.

The bottle is pretty easy to use, even with wet hands. To apply, you moisten the area you wish to shave and pump some out onto your hands and rub it evenly over the skin, much like lotion. The crème should be spread out into a transparent, even layer over skin. I use about 2 pumps worth of crème to cover one leg for shaving. At this rate, it will seriously take me quite a while to empty the bottle. I find it is easier to shave in the tub with a little water, or to turn off the shower, because this stuff will rinse away quickly. Intimate Caress can be used to shave any external area of the body including the pubic area, but I use it just for shaving under my arms and on my legs.

Intimate Caress looks and feels exactly like the typical body lotion. It’s creamy, spreads over skin well, and leaves skin soft even after it has been washed away. The consistency is a kind of thick. The scent I chose is honeysuckle, and that is exactly what my crème smells like. It’s sweet and flowery at the same time. The scent isn’t super strong, it’s just right. I can smell it easily when shaving and after getting out of the bath or shower, but it’s not overwhelming. It’s very pleasant.

Overall, I feel this is an excellent product. For the price, you get lots of shaving crème that works well to moisturize skin. This product is made in the USA, too! The scent is beautiful and not overpowering. Both my fiancé and I loved how soft this made my legs feel. I’m looking forward to purchasing the other two scents available on EF. I think Intimate Caress would make a beautiful gift to someone, especially if combined with other Kama Sutra body products. It would be a great bridal, Christmas, or birthday gift.

I give Intimate Caress 5 stars because of the amazing scent and how soft my skin felt after using it. There isn’t anything I dislike about this product at all!
